Hi! I am organizing a bike tour in the South of France.
The plan is to do 35-50 miles a day with up to 3k+ in elevation gain, with panniers, staying in inns.
This will be my fourth tour in France. There are five of us going at this point and while we are a bit limited by the availability of hotels in small towns, it would be great to have another rider or two. The current group includes a married couple in their 40's and three single parents in their 50's. All of us live in Colorado and some of us haven't met yet.
We are shooting for about $125/night for accommodations (whether single or double) and dining mostly in local restaurants. The plan is to travel independently together, so, if you're an early riser or late starter you are free to indulge your preferences :)
I haven't finalized the route yet, but, we will enjoy some nice days in the Luberon and from there on to the Ardeche region, or perhaps to the Verdon Gorge. We will loop back to the Avignon region where we will return our rental bikes.
