Hi there, I live in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. I’m originally from down south hence the lack of a Yorkshire accent but I know the area really well and I’d love to show the fantastic cycling routes as well as the surrounding historical towns. The Calder Valley sits on the Yorkshire side of the Pennine Hills and between two National Parks; the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District.
Hebden Bridge itself is well worth a visit and recently declared “the greatest town in Europe” and even the “4th funkiest town in the world”! It’s a former mill town that’s swapped mill workers for writers, artists, musicians and other creative types. There are plenty of cafe stops in town and cyclists are always welcome. If you’re cycling through the area be sure to pay me a visit and we can plan a tour. Let me know your plans!
